While i make a regular visit to pick up Subatomic fireballs - this small but beautiful shop provides a great selection of local and classic sweets. For those who dare - you can get your thrills here (still tastes like soap) and any/all still produced sweets from 30-40 years ago. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Candyland:
This is a tiny candy store, but there is a wide variety of options available. When my daughter and I visited, there were about 10 people inside and it felt very cramped. It was difficult to move around and if one person stopped to look at candy, it blocked the path for everyone else. The prices were higher than those in regular grocery stores, but they also had some unique items available for purchase. View all feedback.
We frequent Fairmont Hot Springs often and always make a stop at the candy shop during our visit to Invermere. Today, we were pleased to see that they had new ice cream flavors, including a milk option, and some other new choices.

We originally stopped by for ice cream, but after we got it, it turned out that we had to make a purchase for at least $10 to be able to use a card (we didn't have cash.) I ended up having to buy a bag of overpriced stale chocolate just to be able to pay for the ice cream. They don't warn you before serving that you have to pay cash if it's less than $10. Looks like kind of a scam to me. I didn't enjoy the experience at all. The ice cream was ok
Wanted to buy a couple of things. My total was under $10. Was told I could not use debit or credit if under $10. I walked out. Companies like this wonder why they struggle and eventually go out of business, failing to look in the mirror. You pay the same debit/credit fee as any other retailer! A little profit is better than no profit - hopefully you figure this out before its too late.
I was there during lunch with my boss and we always have the same thing Penney Alla Gigi.
