The decor is lovely, the food is delicious, and the staff is very attentive. The portions are quite generous. My husband couldn't finish the eggs Benedict with bacon (since we're Asian, we usually eat smaller portions). However, the French toast was excellent and the serving size was more manageable.

We were in Invercargill on a Girls Shopping Trip, before we headed home I recommended we grab a bite to eat at The Batch Cafe. As always, the food was outstanding, the coffee was hot and full bodied and the staff were awesome. It was a Saturday afternoon, we didn’t actually get there until late but there was no sign of rushing us out the door. Well worth the visit, my go to cafe when I’m in the Deep South. Vegetarian options: One of my friends is a veggie even late on a Saturday she was able to select a vege option. Kid friendliness: Plenty of room for buggies, good menu choices for little people and privacy for new Mums if they’re breast feeding. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: NZ$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lemon Cake, Avocado Salad Smashed Mint Beetroot Pest, Cheese Rolls
