Uncle Ray's Brickoven - Intramuros

"Tipid sa pocket, pero hindi tinipid sa ingredients." Their pizzas are perfect (most esp. the Carbonara Pizza & Cinque Pizza)---16 inches of crispy thin crust w/ gooey, umami cheese, and an abundance of toppings! We also ordered Buffalo wings, Puttanesca pasta, Pesto pasta, Bolognese pasta, and Caesar salad. And they are all exceptionally delectable, which surprised us so much because we didn't expect something to be really affordable and full of flavour at the same time. Plus, each serving is good for 2-3persons! All 6 of us were able to taste enjoy every aforementioned dish. Budget-friendly × flavourful dishes × huge servings. What more could you ask for?

The interior decoration was nice, you can see their brick oven when they cook the pizza. Place was spacious, friendly and accommodating staff. I ordered the Funghi pasta which was good but it lacked parmesan so we had to order additional parmesan cheese. Calamari for starters was served fast but it lacked seasoning and a little oily.

Their fish fillet was really yummy and the place was really cozy. However, the service is not quite good because the waiters did not suggest or even explain to us some of the meals in the menu.

I'm not really sure why not so many people dine at this place and why the ratings aren't so good. I had one of my best dates here in this restaurant. We only ordered a Carbonara pizza which is very unique with an egg on top and very delicious as well. It was one of a kind pizza for the both of us! The music was loud but they turned it down after noticing that I was talking to someone over the phone. Service was good and it wasn't pricey!

After a tiring day at Manila Ocean Park, We wanted to have pizza and we found this place.  The place looks nice and clean.  The waiter was kind and he attend to us immediately.  My sister ordered Carbonara which was not creamy at all.  It was bland and the most awful Carbonara I have tasted.  Sad but true. While I had Bolognese.  This one is not delicious at all.  I was not able to finish it because I felt like eating pasta without any sauce.  They should have been more generous with the sauces on their pasta, it would have been nice.  The only saving grace was their Special Pizza.  It was topped with generous amount of cheese, meat and vegetable.  The crust was yummy too.  This made me think of coming back at this place, just for their pizza. anjcolumna.wordpress.com
