This place is not only a cafe; it also functions as a gift shop and showcases local history. While sitting outside would have been a pleasant option, we opted to enjoy our snack indoors because it was a bit chilly. However, when we spotted the daily special—a venison casserole for just £6.50—we couldn't resist staying for lunch! It was served either with bread or in a gigantic Yorkshire pudding (see picture). I paired mine with an authentic Fentimans ginger beer (4% alcohol) while the girls enjoyed exploring the local gifts and treasures.
This is a stunning spot for a walk, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch and cake here. They also have a lovely selection of flowers for sale. I would highly recommend a visit!
This charming café is tucked away in the Ingram Valley and features a lovely, friendly staff. They offer a variety of local products for sale. I purchased some garden crumpets, which were quite affordable. The outdoor dining area is beautiful, making for a truly enjoyable experience. The café provides a wonderful atmosphere, a delightful selection of food and drinks, and a chance to explore local gifts and artworks.
Walked to Linhope Spout waterfall and stopped on way there for coffee and cake. On way back we arrived at 3:50pm and they had stopped serving food at 3:30pm but the very nice lady made us her last portion of very nice soup and a couple of coffee's. After a 12.5 mile walk it was much appreciated. Thank you.
