Madly in love with their pork dumplings and BBQ pork buns. Large range of sushi and it's very tasty. Also good that they have EFTPOS; not very often sushi places have EFTPOS unless it's a sushi train View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about East West Food:
pretty gross - was at Indooroopilly EastWest food saw a FAT fly lounging on the sushi and because it was not moving on I pointed it out to the lady behind the counter. She casually waved it on - only for it to settle onto another piece of sushi YUK - no further attempt to remove it from the food View all feedback.
Will not be purchasing again. Son loves sushi so had to go here. I bought a combination rice paper roll (3 in one with the dips) - it had 3 "fresh" rolls. Ate one with avocado but as soon as I removed the plastic covering, it smelt "different". The rice paper roll stank and the "chicken" (I hoped it was) was on the edge. Forced that down and tried the second. it was worse! could not eat that. Brought two rolls back in the plastic case and said to staff (ASian woman with bob) - that I could not eat it, it was off. She then asked "what am I supposed to do with this?" Since the tone was rude, I replied in kind and said you can eat it if you like. She then said we sold many of these today. and started her rant and abuse as I left. I could not let that pass and returned and told her off - that she had a duty to ensure that the food they are serving are right. I was not asking for my money back nor do I want an exchange (did not want to risk another dodgy creation) but they will be sued if anyone gets sick!. Avoid this if you can. Staff needs training on food standards and customer service. Right now. By the way I frequent the city branch and they are okay so far. keep the shockers at Indroopilly.

Super happy & friendly staff, and great fresh selection! It's become my favorite sushi place now, thumbs up! :)
My go to place for sushi. Big variety,fresh and fast service. My particular favourites are the brown rice variety. Nice change from the white--- the texture is great and flavour interesting-- bit healthier too.
