El Campanario - Indio

Great place. People are nice. Chili Releno is my favorite of anywhere. Live in Long Beach. Always stop in here when I'm in the area. Prices are good too. And, best beans and rice I've had anywhere. Not just an afterthought... Excellent all by themselves!

We had a great time out for dinner at El Campanario. My wife ordered a casadea with chicken. Her sister ordered a Chimichanga that she enjoyed very much. I ordered a taco salad with chicken, which was excellent. Our service was excellent as well. Again, it was a great time for our first visit.

El Campanario is a hidden little secret that deserves being told more.The restaurant was busy, but service was prompt and friendly. We came in for margaritas and nachos, but mostly seafood on the menu. We did get our chicken nachos and they were better than average.The restaurant looks like it was once a Dennys or Carrows. With the bright lighting and booth-like lined up seating, not much obvious change in ambience.Drinks, food and service good, but the people in the exposed next tables are watching the whole time.

The shrimp in garlic butter is amazing. The pricing is extremely fair. This restaurant is always busy for good reasons!

The food was delicious. Fast service. Lots of people working there, so there was always someone coming by the table. We came from out of town, so we were pleasantly surprised by everything.
