Yummy Crab - Indianapolis

I am from the South and have a particular taste when it comes to food, so please keep in mind that this review is based on my personal preferences. The dishes at this restaurant may not be to my liking, but that doesn't mean they are not good - just different from what I am accustomed to.

This restaurant is an intriguing spot with friendly staff and excellent service. They offer a variety of seafood options on the menu. We tried the king crab, corn, potatoes, and broccoli all cooked in garlic butter. The food was served in an inflated clear plastic bag, which was a unique and interesting presentation. Everything tasted good, the corn was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were great, but there was a bit too little broccoli. The crab was a bit difficult to eat as it was stuck in the shells, but it wasn't a major issue. I would definitely give this place another try.

I am no longer a fan of this restaurant. They have downsized and now charge a 10% beverage surcharge with each order. Additionally, there is an automatic 18% tip for parties of 6 or more, which is understandable. However, there was no mention of an added gratuity for our small group. I would have been happy to leave more than 10% if they had informed me about the additional charge. Despite ordering 1 1/2 pounds of seafood, I left the restaurant still feeling hungry. The usual serving of 2 corn and 2 potatoes was reduced to only 5 corn and 8 potatoes, with very little seafood. I was very disappointed with my experience.

Will never come again! does not honor their own coupons and eating was exceptionally fat. I understand why we were the only one who sat for dinner, and they don't even deserve a star.

Decided to give Yummy Crab' a try and was not disappointed. The service was good, the food was good, the prices were good, good portions of food for the price as well. We started with some very good Cheese sticks Hush puppies', I had the Cat fish cajun fries' and the wife had the Shrimp basket'. Easy menu with up-front prices make a first time experience a breeze. We will definitely be back.
