Wow! This place is incredible! Our waitress Gina was so sweet and knowledgeable. She gave a recommendation for the strawberry-orange juice which did NOT disappoint! I will get it every time I come here. What Navya P doesn't like about Yolk Wicker Park:
Yolk- IronsWorks have fancy breakfast names and mediocre taste. I was super excited to try the breakfast after knowing it 's one of the best breakfast places in Chicago and Indianapolis, but I am disappointed with the taste and flavor of the dishes. 1)Café Mocha water downed and tastes more like chocolate milk 2) Under seasoned potatoes 3) Egg cheesy pesto sandwich is a joke.It 's less cheesy, a tiny spread of pesto... The food was fresh and very good!although there are a couple things to note, I requested blueberries be added to my pancakes , I did not realize it?s a $3 upcharge for 3-4 blueberries in the pancakes and a handful to be put on top?but if that?s your jam, go for it. Second ?complaint?is a small portion of one of my pancakes was raw batter but it was such a small portion that I found no reason to complain toany staff. Overall the meal was incredibly enjoyable and I?m already looking forward to my next visit for breakfast/lunch!
I have mixed reviews of this Yolk location. Having enjoyed my nutty monkey pancake I get at the South Loop location in Chicago once or twice a year, I was craving another pancake. So, yes, I planned a trip around a pancake to the nearest Yolk location tomy home, which is this one in Ironworks. I have attached pictures...one of what the pancake looks like on the website versusone of the pancake I received the first morning I ordered from there. Let's just say very disappointing. As the order was acarry-out order and I really did plan a trip to eat two good pancakes, I did order it again on the second day and added commentsdescribing what it should look like (i.e. covered in peanut butter, topped with bananas, and drizzled with chocolate). It didlook like it should but tasted a little funny...the batter is supposed to have chocolate chips and bananas, I don't recallseeing many if any bananas in the pancake. It makes me wonder... Bacon both days tasted great...but the trip was for thepancakes!
Breakfast was so good! We had the corn beef hash with eggs and the cheesy egg sandwich. They have great hot sauce even a habanero option. Burns ???? so good!

Fast-food restaurants make better Egg sandwiches thanYOLK!! 4)Hair all over the place. 2 stars are for the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes and they tasted way better than other items weordered. Place is totally hyped and I wont go next time.
Had a lovely breakfast! Our server was very attentive even though it was quite busy! We have been to other Yolk locations and we?ve always been pleased! While the selections on the breakfast menu are plentiful I decided to get the classic eggs Benedict. It was perfect; not over sauced, eggs just right! Delicious! I started my meal with a refreshing glass of beet orange juice!Highly recommend!
