The Mug - Indianapolis

Friendly service and great outdoor seating. We had a cheeseburger, garlic parmesan fries and a grilled cheese. The burger was tasty, fries were great. The grilled cheese was good but nothing fantastic. The menu has mostly pork items, so if you aren't a big pork eater, beware. However, there are other options, even a veggie burger (not on the menu but it's offered). Overall good experience. I hope to try a hotdog next time. While I prefer beef dogs, I will still give theirs a try eventually.

Cute little place, tucked away inside Irvington on the East side of Indy. The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beers are def over priced for what they are but other than that I loved the food and the ingredients were quality. I def recommend giving this place a try.

The location is very close to where I live. Is locally owned. I'm trying harder and harder to support locally planted establishments. The staff here are either always happy or they hide the bad days pretty flippin well. I ordered the coney dog and coupled it with parmesan dusted French fries. WOW. WOW AGAIN. I need to know who supplies their hot dogs. They're phenomenal. It was a fantastic meal. My wife and mother in law ordered burgers as a lettuce wrap. Those were prepared top notch also. Restaurant is always clean. Bathrooms aren't never a wreck, either. Finish your visit with some of their Buckeye ice cream. I'm so busy that I don't get to relax a lot and just unwind. Going to The Mug is a treat and I'll be spoiling myself regularly. Job ALWAYS well done.

Greeted with a smile every time. Staff is friendly and accommodating. GM is personable and there to ensure a great experience. Food is always cooked to perfection. Beer is a bonus! Always leave satisfied and more!

Would have given this a 5 star review but unfortunately the service stinks. I have been here several times and the food is amazing but the staff is clueless about their product. I am gluten free and allergic to several items so I order very specifically to make sure I am good. The first time I was here I ordered a burger and fries with a gluten free bun. Burger was great. Fries are breaded so I couldn?t even eat them. They didn?t offer a refund or anything just sorry. Went again today and got a burger plain with gluten free bun and fresh cut fries because those are not breaded. Got a burger with everything and garlic fries which I hate and I?m allergic to onions which was on the burger. They were frustrated that I would t take the onion off and just eat it anyway. They finally got me a fresh one made and fresh fries but now I have wasted a whole lunch break to be unsatisfied. They Definitely need help in the customer service part of their job.
