What Jessica Betschart doesn't like about The Flatiron The Point On Penn:
Such a neat building. Unfortunately we were sat in the bar area and had poor service. Waited 10 minutes for water, the bartender taking care of us was grumpy and short towards us. We got to listen to him complain loudly the entire time we were there. He had us and 2 patrons at the bar top and acted like he was extremely overwhelmed and put out. There were no other signs of any other employees besides him and another... View all feedback.
This old staple in Indy which used to be 'The Elbow Room ' is such a great restaurant, I had lunch and Dinner in the same day. I am mad we didn 't visit before now! Terra was so nice and helpful with making our selections! We started with Alfredo Fries with Pork Belly and Bacon, Espresso Martini and Black Berry Vodka Lemonade. For our Main Course we had Buffalo Chicken Wrap and Housemade Chips and Lobster Bisque Soup and fresh made bread! Everything was delightful delicate and great flavor! We will definitely be back!
Xavier made the experience. He effortlessly matched the vibe of the restaurant, checked in exactly when needed, and made an incredible smoked old fashioned. The chef made literally the best salmon I’ve ever had and did it in plain view of the dining room. An absolutely incredible find. Ask about dessert the espresso chocolate cake I had did not disappoint.
This is it. Here it is. That absolute gem of a restaurant that just exceeds expectations in every way possible. Having been to all the major steakhouses and power restaurants downtown, I wasn’t expecting much walking in the door. But…I just found Indy’s best kept secret. It’s classy yet casual. Elegant and old fashioned yet contemporary and modern. A perfect place for date night or to impress some friends or clients. Open kitchen where you can see (and smell) your food prepared…all from scratch…from the owner and his team. And it was literally some of the best food I’ve ever had. My steak was utter perfection, the sides paired perfectly, and the cocktails were expertly made. And if they let you in on the secret downstairs, prepare to be blown away. Just gotta know the passcode!
Absolutely phenomenal food. Food here reminds me that cuisine is an art. The staff are so friendly and the laid-back, but nice atmosphere is perfect for a night out. Ro is so incredibly sweet, and actually I was turned onto this place by family friends. I'm so glad they did. A great place for a dinner out or a good place to make a good impression for a first date :
Wish I had gotten some pics. Ate at the bar and had a view of the kitchen. Super nice wood work and the food was awesome. I had a salad and some mac n cheese with grilled chicken. Fast meal because we didn't have much time to eat. Hard crust bread came with oil, butter and caramelized onions.
