this is a critically undervised bar that deserves more attention. they serve their own beer, and they are quite good and varied, have a horror theme and play film while they are there. it's a small neighbourhood, but it's not that far away from the beaten one. look at it View all feedback.

Terrible service, terrible beer, and an owner, with zero respect for the other local businesses in the area. It was only after experiencing not so great beer, and terrible service that I learned of the owners willingness to work with a bad landlord, to destroy the bakery next-door for their own purposes. This review/rating is really 3,5 stars. A friend and I went to Scarlet Lane based on my friend's suggestion that I would like the food because it's a gastropub. When I went it felt like Scarlet Lane was really short staffed. I believe there was only one cook, one bartender, and a food runner. Food took awhile to arrive, but was patient knowing/understanding the circumstances. I had ordered the meatball sub. The meatballs and tomato sauce were both flavorful and I was sad once I finished it. The side salad was okay just arugula and (maybe) EVOO. The beer that my favorite ordered had a large, foamy top. And it seemed other beers were experiencing the same problem. Seating is pretty limited in this gastropub. There is free street parking around the building, since it is in a residential area. I would probably go back to try some of the other food items off the menu. Just wasn't my favorite first experience and I do want to like the gastropub.
Awesome little Brewery! Great Staff and if you love all things Halloween this is the place to go for good Food Spirits Plus get the haunted feeling of October!
Cute fun taphouse to grab a unique brew, hang inside at the bar or catch some rays out on the patio. Servers were very nice.
Beer was good.Service was excellent.Location is cool and close to the Monon trail.
