**Restaurant Spotlight: Sakura in Indianapolis** Sakura offers an exceptional sushi experience in Indianapolis, celebrated for its fresh, high-quality offerings and intimate atmosphere. Although the exterior may appear unpolished, inside guests find a cozy, inviting setting. While it can get busy, leading to longer wait times during peak hours, the attentive staff ensure a pleasant dining experience. The menu features a variety of delectable rolls, notably the acclaimed Super Saiyan Roll, and the popular chef's special cuts. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for larger groups, making this sushi haven a must-visit for enthusiasts in the area. Don’t miss out on this culinary gem!.

I've been coming to Sakura for years, and I have no clue why I never put in a good word. Sakura is about as high quality and fair priced as you're going to get in the Indy region. I wouldn't bother trying any of the boutique places downtown or on Mass Ave you'll be disappointed compared to here. Ex Hot tea is $1.50. They will bring you refills. So many other places want to charge $3 for a cup. It is one of those things overcharging for makes little sense They have all of the traditional Japanese menu items you want...from a simple box to a donburi. The uni they get here is really really fresh unreal for the Midwest. Make sure to let it sit in your mouth for a few seconds and THEN take a sip of water! The miso is always on point. Seaweed salad is fresh. And all of the basic rolls taste great. Avoid the more complicated rolls. Stick to the hamachi and saba.

This place has my favorite sushi in Indy. They're frequently busy, so I recommend planning ahead and making a reservation. After waiting about 15 minutes for a table, we sat down hungry. I knew it would be a while for sushi, but our waiter brought our gyoza and miso soup appetizers promptly.I've never had a bad roll from Sakura, but I was incredibly impressed with the Super Saiyan Roll. The fish was very fresh and the roast garlic chili oil was wonderfully crispy--almost a bacon-like texture. Staff are also polite and attentive; I never ran out of water and my colleague never ran out of green tea, which they refilled for free. The place is reasonably priced, has intimate booth seating, and friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you're looking for sushi in Indy!

Sushi doesn’t get better than Sakura in Indianapolis. Always fresh. Top quality and a variety of choices. Not to mention a full menu of entrees for the whole family to enjoy. We are treated with hospitality at every visit. Such a diamond on the Northside of Marion County.

Sakura is perhaps one of the best authentic sushi places in this hicks town of Indianapolis. We came here on Monday and unlike what Anthony Bourdain's advice (never on Monday for weekend leftover) Sakura's chef special cuts (Omakasai) sashimi wereabsolutely freshest even in this Midwest town. Customers service was superbly attentive even on this packed Monday night. Highlyrecommended

One of the best sushi experiences we've ever had! The prices were reasonable, ranging from $8 to $12 per roll. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious! The service was excellent as well.
