Plump's Last Shot - Indianapolis

This restaurant is an old house in Broad Ripple that has been transformed into a bar with a limited menu. It pays homage to local legend Bobby Plump, a hero from the small-town scene. The walls are adorned with plenty of sports memorabilia and there are several big-screen TVs showing various sports channels. The food here is typical Indiana bar fare, and the breaded tenderloin is a standout dish. The burgers ordered by others in our group were also very delicious. They offer outdoor seating, weather permitting.

I visited Plump's for lunch on my 73rd birthday, and I must say, it has become our top choice! My wife and I are avid tenderloin enthusiasts, having sampled over 75 at various restaurants in Central Indiana. Plump's tenderloin was outstanding—huge, with a perfectly seasoned breading about 3/8 inch thick, cooked to perfection. The lettuce, tomato, and onion were incredibly fresh and crisp, and the bun was toasted and fresh, though no bun could quite contain this colossal sandwich. I'm already looking forward to bringing friends here for lunch. Plus, they have the cheapest beer in Broad Ripple! While the ambiance may be a bit off, the food and service are absolutely a perfect 10!

We usually eat outside here but it was cool so we went inside for drinks and dinner. We ate at the bar. The bartender was great...very friendly. He made my drink perfect......both times! I looked at other things on the menu but ended up getting my regular....tenderloin. They have the best tenderloin in Indy! The entire staff was great!

This is a fantastic spot to unwind with a cold drink and a tasty snack. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they still have an old-fashioned cigarette vending machine!

I never was a fan of tenderloins until I tried theirs. They are absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the drinks are fantastic. Plus, the dog-friendly patio is a huge bonus!
