What User doesn't like about Nook A Paleo Influenced Diner:
I never take the time to write reviews. However, the service, attention to detail, quality of food was really above and beyond. I have food allergies, and they could not have tried harder to accommodate me. Go there on a date, with some friends, or just by yourself. It's a lovely place to enjoy delicious food View all feedback.
When we arrived for our 5:30 reservation, the restaurant was barely busy, but they wanted to seat us at the table right next to the hostess. I requested a different table, and they happily obliged. For drinks, we ordered a neat Maker's Mark and a neat Bulleit Rye. For dinner, we chose the Lasagna and the Chicken and Waffles. Unfortunately, the lasagna tasted like nothing more than marinara sauce, and the chicken had a distinct flavor of oil that seemed like it hadn’t been changed in ages. They offered to switch my husband’s dinner, and by the time he received his short rib, I was already finished with mine. The meat was delicious, but the accompanying cauliflower was dry and not up to par compared to his previous experience. As it was time to leave for the show, we requested our bill, only to find out that they charged us for the Chicken and Waffles instead of the short rib, which was more expensive. When I glanced at the total, I was in shock—my drink cost more than my dinner! An $18 or $19 neat Bulleit? That’s outrageous! I didn’t even ask for a double; it was simply served neat, which means just a straight pour in a glass. This experience has likely deterred us from returning. While we love the concept of the restaurant, if you want returning customers, some changes will need to be made.
I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The food was excellent, the waitress was attentive, and the host was welcoming! The meal was fantastic, especially for those following a keto diet. Thank you for the great experience; we look forward to coming back!
I loved this restaurant! It had the type of menu that offered delicious, nourishing options. I ordered the pistachio crusted salmon. It was really good. I appreciated the portion size too, because I don’t like to waste good. The ambiance is lovely.
Nook takes a new approach to fine dining and offers paleo, Whole30, gluten free and keto friendly dining options. The service was good and the ambiance was quite lovely. The food was lacking. If lack of clean plates were demonstrative, all the plates had sizable portions of food remaining. Chicken and waffles the waffle was pretty and tough. Curry chicken bland Lasagna odd Short ribs incredibly tender and needed salt as well as other seasonings The person who ordered pizza (on a wheat crust) seemed the most satisfied. I appreciate the concept of this restaurant but their execution needs improvement especially at that price point.
Delicious! The cocktails were wonderful and the food was fear-free and delicious.
