Murphy's Steakhouse has relocated to 5198 N Allisonville Road. They have several other locations on the southside, northside, and beyond, so you can choose the one that suits you best. It's a wonderful family-run business, and with the recent merger of Pat Flynn's on 52nd Street, you'll even recognize some familiar faces from the old crew. The original Murphy's, which you might have seen featured on some Parks and Rec episodes, had a charming retro vibe. While it was sad to see that original spot go, customers remain very happy and still love their Thursday meatloaf and Wayne’s steaks! Just a heads up—parking can be tough at lunchtime, and when you walk in, the whole bar tends to turn and look at you, kind of like Cheers. But don’t worry—they’re friendly and welcoming!
The food was satisfactory, but the service was outstanding. A jazz quartet was playing, and they really enhanced the enjoyment of the evening.
