Liter House
4.4 / 5 (602 reviews)

Description

Nestled in SoBro and part of the esteemed Sahms family of eateries, Liter House offers a vibrant German-inspired menu and craft beers that keep patrons coming back. While many rave about the delicious food, including outstanding Brussels sprouts and schnitzel, there are concerns regarding service and the overwhelming music volume, which often makes conversations difficult. Guests appreciate the attentive staff, yet some have encountered service hiccups, including slow drink refills and warm wine. Overall, the combination of a lively atmosphere and delectable dishes makes it a worthwhile destination—just be prepared to navigate the noise.

The staff at the restaurant were fantastic and very kind. However, I was very disappointed with the fish and chips I ordered as it was the worst I have ever had.

Located in SoBro, this restaurant is part of the renowned Sahms family of eateries, offering a German-inspired menu and a variety of craft beers. Despite limited parking options, everything else about this place is fantastic.

Prompt sevice and great food considering how busy it was (I strongly recommend making reservations). It was a little loud but not impossible to hold a conversation. We wish they had slings for infant carriers. I 've recommended the place already to several friends.

We had a fantastic dining experience. The beer and food were both excellent. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Delightful place, love that there was more than adequate parking, booths and tables were surprisingly spacious (not sitting on top of each other). 3 of us ordered from the special, prix fixe Devour Indy menu. Portions were massive. I picked a new menu item, the Cabbage Roll, which I would not recommend (and I’ll leave it at that). My dinner companions both ordered versions of sausage platters (the Bratwurst platter the interesting better than is sounds but def not traditional German food Currywurst), which were very tasty. We went early, so the place was not loud service was great. I’d go back (but I would not get the cabbage)!
