Our meal was delicious! We each had a different entree and dessert so we could share. Fried chicken-what can I say-light crisp coating, well-seasoned and juicy. Cajun shrimp and cheesy grits-very flavorful with large shrimp. Our sides were seasoned well, just like mom made. The desserts were sinful. Warm peach cobbler and Bananas Foster bread pudding, oh my! Wait staff was very attentive, our beverages were never emp... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Georgia Reese's Southern Table Northside:
I was dissatisfied with our experience during our vacation. My family and I drove from New England to enjoy this culinary adventure, but it fell short. The noise level was overwhelming, and we were seated right in front of an unofficial buffet. It was especially difficult for my grandmother, who is in a wheelchair. We felt crowded as other diners maneuvered around us, and a jazz band set up directly in front of the s... View all feedback.
The last time my family dined there it was a really good experience. This time the food was decent but the wait staff was horrible and slow
Food was good. But wasn't able to enjoy the dessert we ordered because we had to leave the rest of our party before dessert came out. We ordered dessert 20 minutes before we had to leave. The 20 minutes went past and the waiter never came by to tell us what was taking so long. Two of us had to leave and the last person at the table got to enjoy the dessert and said it was at least another 5 minutes after we left before it came out. No dessert should take 25 minutes to be served. Per our third person our server kept apologizing and said that the kitchen got swamped with entrees. I understand that but he should have come out and let us know. We would've have cancelled the order. But he never did. Service was attentive for some things, maybe too much (water glasses would be filled after only a sip or too). But lax on communication about the dessert was a minor failure. We will come back again for another try.
Sunday brunch was disappointing. Uninspired, I would characterize it as. Buffet choices were minimal, and all the food seemed cold. The wait staff mostly congregated together and talked, so drink refills were sporadic. There was no omelet station as advertised; we had to ask and then they offered to make us some. There was no live music as advertised. The one dessert, peach cobbler, seemed to be canned peaches and gruel. At $25 a pop, something should impress you and there was nothing here.
Definitey a place to recommend. Excellent service every time I have been here.
We do a bi weekly dinner date with another couple and try to choose a new restaurant each time but we've decided this place will have to find its way back in the rotation! Everything was delicious, the alligator bites can't be missed!
