Fitzgerald's Lunch House - Indianapolis

This is a fantastic lunch spot at the Fort! I ordered the Rooster, and the flavor was delightful. However, the bread was a little too thick for the chicken, which caused it to soak up all the moisture, making my sandwich somewhat dry. On the bright side, the mashed potato salad was wonderfully smoky. Other members of our group tried the Wilbur, and it was excellent—a very moist pulled pork sandwich with a rich smoky flavor and delicious barbecue sauce. I've been here before and will definitely return. It's the best place in the Fort for sandwiches!

They serve the freshest ingredients and the best salads in town. I tried the Garden Rooster, and it was incredible. The homemade dressing paired with the fresh ingredients was absolutely delicious. I even had leftovers! A big thank you to the kitchen staff—this place is truly a hidden gem.

Once we were seated, the owner came over to offer us samples of Mac and Cheese, Baked Potato Casserole, and Homemade Pickles, all of which were absolutely delicious. It's rare to find restaurants that go the extra mile like this anymore—what a fantastic way to encourage customers to return! Our sandwiches were amazing as well. The combination of great customer service, delicious food, and friendly people made for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend this place, and we definitely plan to return!

My sandwich was delicious! I ordered The Rooster and the sauce had a little spice, just enough to keep my attention but not enough to hurt my feelings. The slices of chicken were thick but certainly not dry. The entire sandwich was an excellent combo.The owners were welcoming, and I enjoyed their friendly banter with the regulars I was with. I can't wait to come back and trysome different sandwiches.

First time here. Did not disappoint! I got the Rooster salad, hubby got the wings special, and my son got the Cubano sandwich. All were amazing!! Highly recommend!
