I had heard great things about this restaurant and experienced it was even better. We had suggested some gin-infused cocktails from our server, which on point. And then we split the egg truffle bread and pig bell. There were fewer truffle flavors than I expected (as many dishes I had in regions of Croatia), but it was a nice dish. The pig bell was incredible. It was an excellent presentation and hearty mix of flavors... View all feedback.
What John Wan doesn't like about Bluebeard:
Definitely overrated. Food was aite but not worth $114+tips. Oysters were fresh but tiny. Swordfish was cooked well but the sauce was way too salty since they put some chunky pieces of bacon in there. Pork belly was also way too salty. Lava cake is way too sweet. Ring bearer mocktail was the only thing moderate this evening and it was great. Kitchen charges 5% service fee, seriously? Oh and they had no candles for an... View all feedback.
I can't stop thinking about the delicious toasted cauliflower and cocktails at this restaurant. The flavors, textures, and presentation of the dish are excellent. The chefs really know what they're doing. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy the amazing food and drinks. It's always worth the splurge. I make sure to come here whenever I can.
I went to this restaurant for an early dinner and it exceeded my expectations! The bar seating was open, but it filled up quickly. I would anticipate a wait during busy times. The food and drinks were excellent. The staff was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. I highly recommend trying the mango painkiller if you prefer a sweeter drink, it was delicious. The bolognese sauce was outstanding and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It's no surprise why this dish is a menu staple. The appetizer and dessert were equally impressive. This place is a hidden gem in Indianapolis.
The ambiance, service, and food was an amazing, elavated experience. I was traveling for work so I came in alone to an empty restaurant on a 8pm on Wednesday evening. I was seated in the main entrance area. Overall not too chilly as people frequently were coming in and out. I took the servers recommendations for food. I started with a French 75 which was so delicious. Then came the beet salad which was HUGE. I got the smaller portion which was large enough for a personal entree in my opinion. It was so delish, with the star being the pickled onion. For a second course I went with the spaghetti as recommended. The pasta made in house and it was to die for. The dish overall was simple but so perfect. The pasta had the perfect consistency and was topped with an appropriate amount of oil and cheese. So good. This could have been my entree. For my final course I got the KIMCHI BOKUMBAP, something I would not have thought to get myself but I was leaning into the recommendations. I didn't love this dish but I think it was because of my lack of exposure to kimchi so the flavor was very unfamiliar to me. Overall wonderful experience and if I find myself back in Indiana, I will defnitely visit again!
Such a fun vibe for a restaurant with an impressive menu that changes daily! We had the most pleasant server that was helpful and made our experience wonderful and fun! We had fun cocktails, Caesar salad, dragon shrimp (SPICY), and a delicious pork chop special. It's a great place for a special dining experience.
