I've had breakfast here... read more If you are eating here it is most likely because you are staying at the Renaissance Esmerlada and it's the only sit down dining option. I've had breakfast here a few times during stays over the years. The food is aggressively mediocre but the lack ofculinary quality is balanced by the staff, who are unfailiningly polite and professional. You can get a prepaid breakfastbuffet with your room stay which I've never done but it looks like a decent deal. Prices are of course mildly ridiculous but notabsurdly so.

I've been disappointed by very generic meals, and at other meals, by breakfasts that wouldn't even stand up favorably to the free buffets at cheap hotels. Really a shame.

Since it's summer and the off-season, I thought it woul... read more I visited the restaurant for a dinner at 6:30 on a weekday, and I was surprised to find it nearly empty. Since it's summer and the off-season, I thought it would be busier. However, what puzzled me was that with only five other tables occupied at different times, each course took about 30 minutes to arrive. Additionally, our waiter seemed to disappear for 20 minutes after we finished our meal. While the food was decent, I felt it was overpriced for the overall experience.
