Amélie's French Bakery Café

First time to the Rock Hill Main Street area. Nice place to hang out with cute little shops and old town atmosphere. Among several coffee shops we stopped at Amélie’s for a bite and a sweet treat. It was worthy. Appealing to young and not so young with areas to plug in and to relax. Food was despite the tomato bisque having too much pepper for my taste. Ah! But the desserts…. Worth dying for. I had to take some more to go. Not to be boomer, but someone should make sure that the silverware is 100% clean.

The aesthetic is quite good, and the staff was quick with our order and friendly. The food, however, was positively mediocre. Not bad, but absolutely not worth a regular stop. I ordered a croque monsiuer and it came with absolutely stone cold bechemel sauce. My daughter got the kids french toast, which was basically just sticks of dry toast with flavorless syrup. Amelie's is not awful, there is always something to enjoy about it, but it is positively not worth the price when so many good restaurants are surrounding it.

First time, I'd EVER been to this Rock Hill location!!! I didn't even know they served food FOOD...I thought it was only a coffee and dessert shop!!! EVERYTHING was wonderful and super tasty!! I will deff b bk soon!!

Coffee and breakfast was great. Lemon bar and the yogurt and granola were lovely. Such cute eclectic decor. The patio is great when it's not too hot.

The worst excuse for French Toast I have ever had. See the photo I have included. They literally toasted sandwich bread in a toaster (no egg batter was used) and served it with powdered sugar and syrup. Terrible.
