Subway - Independence
Subway
Description
Tucked inside a Quickway store in Independence, LA, this sandwich spot offers a broad menu, clean cozy seating and convenient dine-in or takeout with street and rail views. Experiences are mixed: some praise friendly, professional service and decent food, while others report inattentive or rude staff, slow service, early closing and improperly heated or toasted sandwiches—making quality inconsistent for an almost $9 sandwich. Expect convenience and choice, but not guaranteed consistency.

The staff at Subway is welcoming and highly skilled at their craft. I highly recommend trying their menu!
I requested that my bread be left untoasted because it usually gets hard, but I wanted my meat heated. Unfortunately, the young staff were too busy chatting and didn’t pay proper attention to my order. As a result, my meat was served cold. Management really needs to hire employees who are attentive and take their job seriously instead of those more interested in socializing. This was the worst sandwich I’ve ever had, and I paid almost $9 for it.
I had a disappointing experience at this Subway. The staff seemed indifferent and told me they were closing at 7:37 PM, even though their posted hours say they close at 8:00 PM. Additionally, one employee, a tall Black woman, was particularly rude during my visit yesterday.
At times, the waitress or the person at the counter exhibits a rude attitude, rushing you out of the store without genuinely paying attention to how you want your order.
