BBQ and down home country cooking at its best. Breakfast served all day. Great biscuits. Chicken tenderloin is huge. Along with all the regular home style cook there is BBQ. I Had a rib and it was real good. Their brisket sandwich is about as good as as it gets for me at least. It's chopped up and a bit crispy unlike most BBQ places. And that's what I loved about it. They have pulled pork, smoked turkey, ham, brisket... View all feedback.
What Diane C doesn't like about Little Richard's:
Service was excellent. So many yummy choices to make. I started off with hot chocolate which was delicious. I finally decided to have the chicken fried chicken and fried mushrooms. The servings were big. It really lacked in flavor and needed salt and pepper which was available at the table. The coating on the chicken and mushrooms were hard crunchy not flaky crispy crunchy. My son got the bbq burnt end sandwich and b... View all feedback.
A top-notch country-style breakfast experience! Generous portions, a charming country ambiance, and excellent service.
Great breakfast selection. Easy to find right off of 291. Fast and friendly service. Fun atmosphere. Reasonable prices and big portions. Plenty of parking. Lots of locals here.
My daughter and I visited this restaurant for the first time today and my review is mixed. My daughter ordered the fried chicken breakfast, over medium fried egg, home fries and biscuit with gravy on the side. The chicken was good and hot, the biscuit good, the potatoes hard and cold and the gravy cold and quite firm. I ordered the BLT with fries and a slice of coconut cream pie. The tomatoes and lettuce were super fresh and flavorful, the bacon had good favor but was like jerky, the bread was good but I don't care for cold toast. Fries were barely warm. The pie had OK flavor but the pie mixture was much more firm than I am used to. Now to service...there were a few waitresses working and they were not that busy. After a little wait our order was taken, but we did wait a while before we got our food. We did see it sitting up on the counter for a while and we did see her look at it twice and go do something else before bringing it out to us. We didn't see her again while we were eating.
Saw some good reviews, wanted to try a new spot before our movie. Not impressed at all. Service was friendly. Everything else sub-par. I ordered a patty melt, and the patty wasn't seasoned at all. The onions were crunchy rather than sauteed. Our fries came out undercooked and I kept tasting a sweet aftertaste while eating them. I am guessing maybe the sweet potato fries make the oil taste like that. Food took awhile, but I would have been happy if the flavor exceeded the wait. I got the vibe maybe they were trying to get the food out faster and let quality take a backseat.
This restaurant truly excels in BBQ and authentic down-home country cooking. They serve breakfast all day, and the biscuits are fantastic. The chicken tenderloin portion is impressively large. In addition to the usual comfort food, there is a great selection of BBQ. I tried a rib, and it was excellent. Their brisket sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had; it's chopped and slightly crispy, which sets it apart from many BBQ places—something I really appreciated. They offer pulled pork, smoked turkey, ham, brisket, burnt ends, and ribs. Don't be misled by the fact that they aren't a dedicated BBQ restaurant. Richard has been expertly smoking meats for over 15 years. The sauce is a classic Kansas City style. I can't wait to try the pulled pork on my next visit!
