For a little pizza place in a small town, Ciro’s really wowed us! My wife and I ate there memorial day weekend. Lovely outdoor seating area, the staff and service were quite good, the restaurant was clean and well kept but the food was the real star! My wife’s garden salad was big enough to eat three times and she absolutely loved her spaghetti! I ordered the small calzone. It came out and was the biggest calzone I’ve ever seen!! The crisp crunchy freshness of the ingredients with the cheese and the dough was incredible! What an amazing amazing flavor! Independence, Virginia may be a small town, but they have a big flavor pizza place as an option to eat! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to or through Independence.

My friend and I went to this restaurant on a Monday during a time that should be busy. It wasn't busy and we had a very nice waitress. My issue came with the food, we had a sampler basket and cheese fries for our appetizer. Both were way over fried and didn't taste good. Not to mention the sampler is $12.50 which is way over priced for what you are given. The garlic knots are amazing and were the saving grace in the meal. I was disappointed since I had been here previously and had good experiences. I will be revisiting in a few months to try some different menu items.
