Was RamblingShirley at El Convent a mag?
We were staying at El Convent and had a specially prepared snack upon arrival, two breakfasts and a dinner. Though the kitchen was formally closed, the staff filled our request for a snack as we had not eaten lunch. They prepared a beautiful array of cheeses, jamon, olives and pa amb tomaquat! What User dislikes about El Convent:
a beautiful and modern place in Inca, good service and menu of normal wines. the normal meal without anything to highlight, the tataki is good and the very small cheese table, very cold cheeses, non creamy croquettes, and the very normal chicken salad of flavor. View all feedback.

Loved everything about this restaurant and setting, super meal, good choice menu especially fresh fish. Service very good. Restaurant used to be a monastery lots of visible signs and very tranquil setting.

Our dinner on the terrace was delightful. The open grill fire used to roast meats and fish gave a lovely hearth smell on a full moon night on the beautiful terrace. We enjoyed roasted local fish caught in the area, octopus done on the grill, and a delicious tarte tatin!

We booked for 15th August, and as evening fell, it rained and rained, so we had to eat in the old nun's refectory inside, rather than in the lovely garden, which was okay, it's an interesting room. a tray of all the fresh fish to choose from (to be barbecued in the rain) was brought to our table, nice starters, great wine, loved the fish, thought it was one of best places we have eaten in 6 years visiting the area, pricey but very good quality. so we booked to go back on our last evening, and guess what it rained again! the waiter remembered us, and said don't come back again, you're making it rain. it must be nice to eat outside here, but it has to be good if we enjoyed the food indoors in August.

From time to time we have eaten at El Convent as it is close to where we stay. In the past it has been average to good. We went four weeks ago and found that the restaurant is under new management. My husband and I had salads to start which were really good and then we shared a large grilled fish. This was excellent and had been cooked on the wood stove adjacent to the outdoor seating area. Overall much much better than our previous experiences and we will return . Staff were excellent and in our view this restaurant should be much higher up the rankings based on our Last experience.

We arrived fairly late for a vacation at a villa nearby and came here accidentally for a late dinner. The menu has a selection of French, Italian, and Spanish dishes. The tuna tartar with avocado and caviar was amazing. I tried my day's aubergine ravioli, and my brother's duck confit, and both were excellent. They put a lot if care into each dish. It might be a little expensive for Spain, but not for the quality of the food. The service was very friendly.
