Nice spin to the lone longanissa but it need a little bit more of freshness to it. Calamansi cucumber is not enough to balance the meaty taste of the longanissa. Maybe Fresh salad or chick macaroni on the side?
I have always been a lover of the famous Imus longganisa and I was glad the owners of Big Ben's Kitchen came up with this concept. They serve good meals, of which the longganisa meal is the most famous for. The ingredients are grown organically, including the egg. You can even buy in kilos for you to cook at home or as pasalubong for friends and family. I will definitely go back again and again...
When you are looking for a place to dine, you will never go wrong with this place. I can say that this restaurant offers some of the must try foods in Imus. True to what they are advertising about their longganisang Imus, one of the best here is their Longganisa Pasta. This is totally a craving. Their kare-kare is an A+ and I can say one of the best.Big Ben's became an "always option" for us everytime we are thinking of a place to eat in Imus. Not to mention their interesting interior.
My cousin posted eating at BIg Ben's December 2016. It made me craved for the longganisa......its good she taught of giving me the frozen one, however after sharing the pack with my mom, the craving to eat more was there. When I was scheduled for Threadmill at MCI. I told my sister that we should eat lunch at BBK. Fortunately we arrived at 2pm and parking is not a problem. We had the place by ourselves. Me and my sister ordered the longganisa with the tapa and egg , sinampalukang manok and kare-kare. I love the longganisa and the sinampalukang manok while my sister preferred the tapa ( beef) and the kare -kare. DEFINITELY, once is not enough. Asked their staff if we can come earlier for breakfast, they said we can just knock. Since we had a balikbayan friend who wants to go to Tagaytay, I think having breakfast here was the best idea prior to going to Tagaytay. I called the day before for a reservation and gave my order. We arrived at 8am and everything was set. We ordered longganisa, the fiesta kare-kare, the sinampalukang manok but this time we added menudo. I saw the recommendation of my favorite Chef, Sandy Daza.....aside from longganisa, he mentioned menudo so I ordered this too. We are a group of 8. We almost finished everything, When ordering Kare-kare be sure to choose between the one with vegetables only or the fiesta which has more meat. Service was excellent. Chef Lany and her staff gave us an excellent service.
I suddenly had a craving for longganisa... so I googled "where to find the best logganisa?" I found the answer... Big Ben's Kitchen. The place was cozy and the staff are all smiles and of course... I got to eat what i came for, I actually had longganisa overload, I ordered Imus Longganisa meal and Grass Fed Beef Tapa/ Imus lOngganisa meal... both the tapa and the longganisa are good, but of course I love the longganisa....
