Good start, t... read more Having heard good things about this restaurant I was interested to try it for myself. So with two friends I booked a table on a busy Friday night. Good start, the service was friendly, the beer reasonably priced as was the menu. We ordered an 'angus ' burger, a pizza and a Caesar salad. This is where it all fell apart. The angus burger was unremarkable but just about ok. However the pizza was undercooked, barely hot, tasteless and the raw ham on it was so chewy that it could easily choke you if not chewed for about 5 minutes per mouthful. The real scandal was the so called Caesar salad. When we go out in the evening to spend our hard earned pennies we expect more than cheap supermarket leaves, tasteless processed chicken mini cubes and dressing served in a bottle from the supermarket. I could easily have made the dish so much better! Tasteless rubbish! Imperia must be desperate for eating places because it was busy, but the food was so disappointing. My message to La Ribotta; If you don 't have pride in what you do.. DON 'T DO IT. Italian cuisine at its worst.
