Great first impression and was really looking forward to this meal. Cozy atmosphere and very “Italian”. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the expectations, poor flavors and the frisella was like eating a rock. Rest of the family was not impressed either
Pizza, focaccia and cheesecake are excellent, but the brunch was disappointing: Most meat (sausage and bacon) are extremely salty and a bit dry, scrambled egg was acceptable, but the bread was unfresh, hard and difficult to cut. Chicken was dry as well... we could find whole big grains of salt in the sandwich. If you want a quick pizza or snack it is a great place, but do not expect a full savoury meal.
A Cuvea is always very busy, particularly at lunch, with local employees flocking there to savour their tasty first or main courses. The tables are tiny and close together, making it perhaps a bit claustrophobic. The service is speedy and friendly, and the bill economic. Satisfactory.
We enjoyed cocktails for lunch on the outside terrace. We found the tables too small to enjoy our lunch, so we moved inside. No problem, although not done in Italy. I enjoyed the fresh salmon, and my family the Caesar chicken salad. Delicious, and plenty. The service was very friendly and fast.
