La Toscane - Illiers-Combray

I was visiting Illiers-Combray during January of 2022. The town seemed moribund; I was hoping to visit the Proust Museum, but it too was closed. Hungry and looking for anything open, I happened across La Toscane, apparently just as they were closing for lunch. I was told that there was only a pasta available, no kitchen service. I chose the only option, a pasta with ham shavings. It was truly one of the best meals of my entire French trip (which was mostly in Paris). So simple and yet with depth of texture and flavor. I hope to return again.

This is a scam! We ordered 2 pizza's on their website and paid for them so we could do takeaway. When I went to collect the pizza's, the shop was closed. We send them an email to demand a refund but no reply. Do not order pizza there cause you may pay for nothing

We found very little open in Illiers-Combray after about 8pm. We were fortunate that this restaurant was actually open. It was a bit disappointing to have Italian-style food in France but it was actually very good and quite good value for money. I had a pizza which was huge (and enough for 4! and my husband had a calzone which was very tasty.

Les pizzas ne sont pas bonnes la pâte est dur on dirait du congelé ! Rien dessus ! Et les prix des pizzas sont chers ! le cadre est moyen .

Je confirme le jugement et les témoignages qui ont été apportés .... effectivement, mon déjeuner s'est très bien passé avec un menu d'un bon RQP
