Wow! How have I lived in Ilkeston all of my life and never visited this place! I knew it had a great reputation, but I had never gotten around trying it myself. The choice of food was a little limited, but I have to say, all courses that everyone ate in my party was extremely well presented, tasted fantastic, and received favourable comments and feedback. The staff were pleasant and attentative too, making for a great experience. The price was extremely reasonable too. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We visited here last night (Saturday)for a works night out. There was a big party of us 16 in total. The food was amazing as it always is presented beautifully and the service was excellent really friendly staff. Can not praise this place enough its exceptional. Service: 5 Location: 5
Very popular restaurant as very busy which made service quiet slow. My lamb dinner was nice, had better, but my pud, cheese Cake was fabbotastic!!! The starter flat bread was a nice change, and looked lovely on the slate plate. Was nice and warm and cosy. Staff lovely. Will deffo go again one evening. Service: 4 Location: 3
I was very disappointed with the service at this restaurant. We felt rushed the entire time, and our food arrived before we even received our drinks. The staff was not very friendly.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious, but the roast was a bit pricey and average. However, the starter and dessert were very tasty. We only gave 3 stars for the service because we weren't given a wine list (the wines were listed on a board on the wall, which we didn't see until we were leaving) and when I asked for a wine recommendation, I was advised to get the Malbec, which turned out to be the most expensive wine at £16 for a large glass and it wasn't even that good. Other than that, the service was good.
