It was a beautiful sunny eveni... read more Yesterday we visited the Island, too. The restaurant is located in a lush green setting in the heart of the countryside in Ypres. It was a beautiful sunny evening, and we enjoyed drinks on one of the rowing boats that are available for rent there. You don't always have to travel far to have a wonderful experience... On the outdoor terrace, we savored the delicious asparagus with mousseline and salmon - it was incredibly flavorful! As the night grew cooler, they promptly turned on the electric heaters so we could continue to enjoy the outdoors. The service was excellent and friendly. The sommelier even suggested a perfect wine pairing for the asparagus. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience in a picturesque setting. It felt like a mini-vacation, right on our doorstep.

The reception was very smiling and the professional service. There is a choice between fish and meat. We chose the fish. No disappointment on the entrance or on the dishes. The desserts were correct. Prices match other restaurants. We'll be back in the summer.
