We had eaten well before in this nicely decorated, modern restaurant, so our expectations were high. We started with a glass of champagne and got dry bread and truffle butter with it. The butter wasn't fresh. There was a big, good choice of tapas for entries. Gratin of mussels was a bit tastless. Goat cheese, which I usually love, did have an disagreeable, strong taste. Fortunately the main dish was better: scallops and scampis on spit very good with a nice sauce, just the accompaniment lasagne with spinach was a bit too soft and the strong taste of tomato sauce was too dominating. The desert café gourmand was delicious. All dishes were visually very nice. The young waitress was more interested in the bar tender than the clients. Continuous kissing and caressing was a bit too much! There were only two tables occupied and even then we got a wrong bill.

When visiting Hyères Port there are quite a few restaurants that all look nice and where you'd like to sit down. We were a bit late so most of the restaurants were full but we managed to get a table at Vice Versa and did not regret it. The interior was quite modern with a touch of kitsch, in a nice way. All places in the harbour are more or less outdoor. We sat in their outdoor department, which was protected from wind (and mosquitos) by its tent walls. The service was great and so was the food. They offered a special 2 dish menu from which both me and my friend choose the tuna for main course. The tuna was served with a noodle salad with a lot of nice tastes and spices (not spicy though), salad and wasabi cream. I had the zabaione with fresh berries for desert (it was lovely) and my friend had the chocolate fondant which too was great.
