The pupusas are made to perfection, with just the right amount of filling in the tortilla dough. I also tried the Sopa de Mondongo, which is absolutely delicious, packed with plenty of vegetables, honeycomb tripe, bones, tortillas, and a slice of lemon for an extra kick. They top this soup with curtido as a garnish. View all feedback.
What Patri Mjo doesn't like about San Alejo:
The food was excellent, but I was caught off guard by the fact that they automatically add a tip to card payments without informing you. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, the service a 2, and the atmosphere a 3. View all feedback.

I went with my family yesterday Thursday to this restaurant. This place was highly recommended to me but it was disappointing. We ordered pupusas and chicken soup but they brought us the raw pupusas from the shore and not just one but all of them. Also, the chicken soup was not soup but water hot with cabbage and green beans with a piece of carrot and to accompany a piece of dry and burnt wing it is known that the chicken is tough but that is ridiculous a little bit of reheated rice they serve portions for children half a plate of hot water and its sides and the exaggerated price $16.50 we paid for our dish badly served from every point of view if you go to a restaurant and you are paying the least you expect is a good meal because you are paying it IS NOT FREE but we gave the waitress a good tip gentlemen I do not recommend this place very bad experience Service: 1
One of the best tasting Salvadoran food places in the DMV! The sopa de gallina india and sopa de frijoles are favorites, not to mention the pupusas. And they welcome you with a smile. Bike Stop This was a great stop just off our bike ride on Sligo Creek. Owner took good care and recommended a shrimp dish we really enjoyed and the Pupusas were tasty. It’s a good bike destination with a covered porch and poles to lock your bike to. Service: Dine in
