I decided to grab a quick snack to hold me over until dinner, and I'm really glad I did! I ordered a few egg rolls that were hot, fresh, and especially crispy and delicious. The sauce was just the right level of sweetness—perfect for me. I often find that fried foods have a greasy taste in restaurants, but that wasn't the case at Mei Wei. So tasty! What User doesn't like about Mei Wei Asian Bistro:
An interesting detour! Started with the Mongolian with beef and fried rice. The beef was tasty but my wife was suspect that it was actually beef. I was happy with the flavor though the texture was a bit different. Sauce was delicious. Decided to go back for a chicken fried rice and it tasted like brown rice with lots of salt. A FAVORITE! I’m currently enjoying a meal at Mei Wei Asian Bistro, located near downtown Huntsville, Alabama. This restaurant and the particular dish I've chosen today have always been a top choice for me. Today, I ordered the Thai Coconut Curry with beef and white rice. EXCELLENT! I opted for the RED version, which is quite spicy (very hot for some) compared to the GREEN version, which is milder. They use flank steak for the beef option, and the way they prepare it makes it simply MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. Additionally, the sauce that accompanies the meat is a delightful blend of seasonings. Please reduce or take the sugar out of your food. The cashew chicken tastes like candy.
The food was delivered by Uber in a sealed bag, but I found hair in my meal and they forgot my drink! The quality of the food was disappointing. I don't understand how this restaurant has a 4.6 rating on Uber Eats. I won't be ordering from them again.
We LOVE this place! We only get to eat it once a year when we pick up our daughter from Space Camp but we talk about it ALL the time!! We look forward to it every summer. Such awesome food, friendly staff, very helpful.
