Umami Japanese Cuisine - Huntington

Nice, cozy place. Menu will take several trips to sample. Spicy shrimp with crispy spinach was surprisingly sweet, but good. They use very high quality shrimp here. Wife had shrimp lol mein. Equally good. The tempura appetizer was a little lackluster, but it was a nice, affordable meal. We will return to try the sushi/sashimi/etc. Oh and they have Ramune!

The spicy rolls I got were very bland, not spicy in the slightest. The rice was fine but a bite on the stale side, could have been fresher. Not the cheapest lunch special around either, so all in, not a fan of this place.

We absolutely love this place! The staff is always fantastic, and the food is incredible. We've never had a bad experience here. While we often order takeout, we also enjoy dining in from time to time. The women who serve at the tables and handle the front of the house are consistently polite and friendly, going above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Since discovering Umami, we refuse to go anywhere else for sushi. Their entrée dishes are also amazing, but we typically stick with the sushi. If you're in the area, you definitely need to check this place out! You won’t regret it!

The food was incredible! My boyfriend and I ordered three sushi rolls and shared the sesame chicken. The sushi was flawless, and the sesame chicken was the best we've ever had. We chose this place based on a recommendation, and it's clear why!

We had a fantastic time at this restaurant, and everyone left feeling very happy! The highlight for us was definitely the service—it was exceptional! The staff was attentive and added thoughtful little touches that made the experience even better. I recommend ordering anything on the menu; you won’t be disappointed. It’s truly a wonderful place. We enjoyed a cozy atmosphere with a small TV, which worked perfectly for our table of eight. I’m sure anyone who loves good food will appreciate this spot.
