What User doesn't like about Mani's Kitchen:
We arrived at the restaurant around 7 for our reservation, only to find it closed, much to our surprise. As a result, we had to rush to find another place to eat on a Saturday night. View all feedback.
Food is always good, but not always consistent. If you don't like anything, they go out the way to make sure it is corrected. The servers are always pleasant and work hard. We're definitely going back.
Experience very pleasant, food excellent service a bit tardy parking excellent.
Unfortunately, dinner on Sunday at Barmani's was really sub par. It was the first night of Restaurant Week and it seemed that the staff was just not ready for it. It took at least 20 minutes before there was an offer to take our drink selection. Then, I ordered salad as my appetizer and the marinated chicken dinner. After another lengthy wait, the waiter arrived with our dinners even though the salads had never appeared. We were asked if we still wanted them, but we opted to just get on with dinner and delete the salads from our bill Meanwhile, people at 2 other nearby tables were complaining about the wait and incorrect dinners being brought to their tables. Waiters were scurrying around the dining room. I rarely write a negative review, but this was so disappointing. The marinated chicken was tough, difficult to cut and difficult to chew. I have eaten at this restaurant 4 times prior to this visit, and I was really impressed with both the food and the service. I will consider this one evening to be an aberration and give it another try. I hope that this new entry into Huntington can be successful.
The redecorating that Barmani's owner has done makes it a much more attractive and comfortable setting than it was under the previous restaurant at this location. My wife and I found the food uniformly excellent. We started with a Caesar salad that had an authentic dressing, much better than many restaurants serve today, and the shaved cheese that topped it off was just the right touch. We both had pasta as our main course. My Rigatoni Au Gratin was unlike anything I've had before cheese filled pillows of pasta, with a delicious tomato sauce containing sausage chunks, peas, and carrots, all topped by melted burrata. Desserts were above average for restaurants of this caliber, and there were some featured wine specials that made it worthwhile to buy a bottle rather than glasses. Worth a try if you haven't been here yet.
Great food and good service. Live music at 10 pm a plus!
