We had a great experience. Love Jonathans. The only improvement in service would be that our salad and appetitzer were served at the same time...not good. Otherwise, food was excellent. Waitress friendly and warm and knowledgable. Table was perfect. They even put a candle on our tarimesu for our anniversary. : View all feedback.
What jAnthony Perez doesn't like about Jonathan's:
A mixed experience. The bartender needs to learn how to make a decent drink. Steaks were just acceptable for the price. Pasta with lobster was good. Bell Evans chicken was nothing of the sort, oddly seasoned, and mainly bones. Desserts were forgettable, coffee luke warm. Have noticed a downward trend at Jonathan's. The last couple of experiences have left me looking at the check and shaking my head. View all feedback.
Oh how sad. We are regulars, but haven't been in about 2months. Alex (who is amazing)was on vacation. Maybe the chef was as well. I can't remember when I have had a worse meal. From the beginning with the waitress who was sweet and meant well calling us all lovey! Really?? The service was awful and it was a Tuesday evening, the place was empty. Now, about the food. Diner quality. There were 4 of us. We all had different appetizers and entrees. Pasta tasted like it was out of a can, salad dressing was also tasting bottled, steak quality was really poor and halibut was also not good. Everything was terribly over salted. Not one of us had more than 2 bites. We did have 3 drinks and 2 bottles of wine (which was a waste because we didn't eat). When we complained, they offered to re do everything. After waiting too long to be served, we declined to have more less than mediocre food again. We obviously complained and the Alex stand in manager took one entree off the bill. With that being said the bill was still $580. Sorry Alex, we think you are wonderful, but Jonathan's is off our list. I've never written a bad review of a restaurant, but this was disturbing.
Marlon our waiter made our Anniversary dinner so wonderful. He went above and beyond tin providing outstanding service throughout our entire dinner and dessert. 5+ stars for Marlon!!!
Amazing food and service on a busy Mothers Day. My 2 yo started getting antsy and wanted out of the high chair. The host/mgr came over to cheer him up and took him for a tour of the kitchen. He had a positive demeanor when he returned.
First time here. Great experience! Sophia our server was wonderful. Attentive but not intrusive. Food was great, bronzino was excellent. Drink were good. Would definitely come back.
The service was fantastic! We started with the Tuna TarTare it was delicious. I had the Black Linguine extremely taste but over cooked. My husband had the scallop entree, it was ok but not great (the scallops were very small). He wish he had the pork chop -which looked fantastic. We will definitely be back to try it.
