We were on our way to another restaurant when we saw this place. We decided to turn around and try something new, and we're glad we did. The food was delicious and it felt like we were dining in New Orleans. We have now added this restaurant to our list of favorites and will definitely be recommending it to our family and friends. A big thank you to Christian for the excellent service. We left as satisfied customers. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Roux Seafood Kitchen:
The jambalaya was just okay. I've had better before. The portion size was quite large. My friend tried the seafood snowshoe and didn't enjoy it. I will give this restaurant another chance. Hopefully, the gumbo or etouffee will be better. View all feedback.

The food was tasty and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. It was served with care and attention to detail. The only downside was that their beignet machine wasn't working.
I went for the first time, yesterday, with a visiting friend who had a Louisiana born mother and grandmother. She was so excited to eat food she'd grown up on. It was brand new to me. Everything we tried was wonderful! She was in heaven! I have to give a special mention to our delightful waiter, Christian. Just the perfect mixture of attentive and kind. We were both very pleased with our experience there.?
Our visit to Roux Seafood.Came for the Louisiana style food and left slightly less enthusiastic. Having visited Louisiana on many occasions I would say it is possible my standards were too high but what I was met with seems to be the standard under their soft opening. The lack of alcohol made quite more impact then I thought it would especially with limited fountain drink options.Parking is decentKid options are non-existent but they do offer an appetizer of Chicken Tenders which saved us.Food was less then preferential. We ordered the jambalaya which was overloaded with 3 main ingredients: Spanish Rice, Bell peppers, and red pepper (Cayenne powder). Clearly leaving out the majority of speices recommended for this dish. Consistency was good and rice was cooked which was a bonus but that pepper flavor was overwhelming and not editable for the diners at my table. I ordered the lobster which was sorely disappointing. (Another reviewer described it best at length). The lobster was presented with a mound of noodles pouring over and out of it. The white sauce had literally no flavor which made me want butter and lemons but nothing really topped it right. After you get through 5lbs of noodles you are met with a mostly broken lobster which took some of the fun of cracking it apart. The meat was tough although did glide out of the lobster so that was nice. The lobster honestly reminded me of the frozen stuff they sell at the store in big quantities and not the daily fresh quality advertised.Overall I'm sorely disappointed despite it being a soft opening the flavors overall were bland or lacking. I hope they manage to workout some of the kinks before opening but unfortunately I won't be back especially with them not catering to kids in any way.
