Looks a bit dodgy on approach however it’s clean and pleasant inside. The food was fantastic hot lots of it and if you need more you are encouraged to come back for more. I would class this as a hidden gem. View all feedback.
What Jennifer W doesn't like about Wyton Moorings:
Went on Sunday for carvery after looking at reviews I was looking forward to going but although the food was well cooked it was not hot and neither were the plates it was served on which spoilt our enjoyment of lunch. I also noted that no sauces were offered which for turkey cranberry beef horseradish they was however apple sauce on the top of the counter. View all feedback.
Eventually got to go on Sunday 13th been trying for ages. As you drive down the bumpy road(which has signs of work in progress) and pull up to a “portacabin “ you do wonder what you have let yourself in for but once inside the transformation is brilliant. We were greeted at the bar and asked what we would like to drink then shown to our table and told to help ourselves to the carvery. There was a choice of 3 meats pork beef and turkey and we asked for all 3 which filled half the plates then helped ourselves to the veg all of which was fresh not frozen and loads of choice, Yorkshire pudding crackling apple source and when we got back to the table were asked if we wanted any other sauces. The food was fantastic especially the beef as it was rear just how we like it. Reading the last person on here if something isn’t right then speak up as it can’t be put right if they don’t know . This was one of the best roasts we have had and will definitely be going back to sample the other parts of the menu. Keep up the great work
All of the complimentary comments for this restaurant are correct. Visited last Sunday for a carvery lunch. Roast pork, turkey and beef on offer with a very good selection of Vegetables and of course yorkshire puddings, all very well cooked and portion size is large. Homemade puddings included chocolate mousse and rhubarb crumble both absolutely wonderful. Great welcome from the team, very friendly, and really good value we paid £20 per head to include mains puddings and drinks and a good tip. Inside the furniture is rustic and all comments of don't judge a book by its cover are very true. This is one to watch by the way the owners intend to improve the business but do try it we were very impressed.
Had never heard of this place before but by word of mouth a few people mentioned it. So thought we would give it a go and see what the place is like. I admit on the exterior I was put off but as a few people had mentioned it so I was ready to not be put off. Inside the restaurant had a lovely feel and we had a very warm welcome. Staff were very accommodating but not too overpowering with it, the actual food was AMAZING they really didn’t scrimp on the meat and it was cooked to perfection! All the vegetables potatoes were delicious and plenty of choice. We can’t wait to go back!
Visited for a family Sunday carvery, been before a year or so ago and we were impressed then. Exactly the same this time around.......great food/drink, friendly welcoming staff......this place is as good as the crackling they serve with the pork...perfect! And to top it off even the mother in law loved it, believe me she's a hard one to please!!!
Visited this Sunday for the first time and as other reviews suggest do not judge a book by its cover. A very friendly welcome and the food was excellent. Organic freshly cooked and very good portion sizes. A hidden gem. We shall be returning
