Was Shiuan Chang at Hunter Lodge a mag?
Great hotel. Clean and beautiful. Check in was a bit weird they were going to send digital keys and asked me to download a app, and everything was confusing. However, we ended up doing normal check in which was smooth. We booked a room with balcony and we had a nice view. The breakfast was too boring will try the lodge on the other side of the road next time. View all feedback.
What Kirsten Haley dislikes about Hunter Lodge:
We decided to dine at this restaurant on a Sunday evening. When we called ahead, we were informed that it wasn't busy and that reservations weren't necessary. That... View all feedback.

Although lengthy you will want to read this till the end! Absolutely appalling and utterly heartless! the recent experience was nothing short of a nightmare, as we found ourself subjected to a shocking display of insensitivity and discrimination. It is beyond belief that an establishment would treat customers in such a cruel manner, forcibly removing us, all over the most trivial of reasons. We were a sizable 40-person party gathering for a family get-together. Before making our reservation, we had taken the responsible step of having multiple conversations with the management, ensuring they were well aware of our large party, specifically emphasizing that many children would be present To begin with, the reason for our removal was downright absurd. We were targeted not because of any wrongdoing on our part, but simply because our children were making noise. Are we not allowed to have families and enjoy our time in public spaces? Apparently not according to the establishment's management. What adds another layer of distress to this ordeal is the fact that we are Jewish and it was the Sabbath, a sacred time during which we are not permitted to drive. Despite explaining our situation and offering to leave after the Sabbath ended, the management callously disregarded our plea and forced us out immediately. To make matters worse, the management's actions escalated to an alarming degree when they decided to involve the police. The officers' handling of the situation was nothing short of chilling. Their uncaring remark about having enough handcuffs for both adults and children is a shocking display of insensitivity and lack of empathy. It is deeply troubling to think that such a flippant comment was made in a situation where families were involved. The establishment's total lack of respect for our religious beliefs and its decision to force us onto a bus during the Sabbath is simply unacceptable. Not only did they disregard our rights and beliefs, but they also desecrated a sacred time for our family. The distressing part is that this entire incident was triggered by a mere noise complaint. Is this really the kind of society we want to live in, where innocent families are targeted and subjected to such discrimination just because someone was bothered by a bit of noise? The blatant anti-Semitic undertones of this entire ordeal cannot be ignored. It is deeply disheartening to think that we live in a world where such prejudice still exists. In conclusion, my experience at this establishment was a nightmarish encounter with insensitivity, discrimination, and a complete lack of understanding for our religious beliefs. I would strongly caution anyone against patronizing a place that harbors such disdain for its customers' well-being and values
No one loves a great hotel more than I do, and Hunter Lodge exceeded every expectation. The text communications were a nice touch and I appreciated the ease of access knowing I could text any questions or requests (though I had no need to . Check-in was quick, which after a 5 hour drive, I applaud! Walking down the hall, you get the vibe of your typical hotel. But then the magic happens when you open the door to your room, with either the hotel provided key card or your Open Key app (highly recommend this nice touch! The room, oh goodness! It was boujie elegance meets rustic charm. It had all the colors, warmth, and charms of a lodge but was also upscale and made small-town me feel fancy. The cathedral ceilings, books on the shelving above the tv, wide comfortable couch, phenomal shower head, luxurious full-sized toiletries, extremely comfortable bed, balcony, and powerful ceiling fan were the icing on the cake. These little touches make all the difference when staying away from home. No stone was left unturned in creating an environment that helps melt away all the daily stresses we endure. It’s been a really hard time for our family lately, so being able to unwind in such an idealistic and beautiful lodge was a true gift. Do not miss a visit to the back deck to take some deep breaths as you admire the stunning views. Years ago I was a corporate event coordinator and have visited a lot of really nice properties. I would give Hunter Lodge a 10 out of 10 and recommend it to anyone visiting the stunning Catskills region. Our trip was short as we were picking up our child from camp, but I’m already planning to return next year to celebrate my 40th. As time goes on, we long to find those special places we can relax, exist, and celebrate gratitude. Hunter Lodge is 100% the definition of that.
My partner and I stayed at Hunter Lodge in the queen balcony room with a Mountain View, and we had an amazing stay! Our room was clean and decorated beautifully. The Mountain View was so gorgeous, and there was also a Mountain View from the restaurant in the hotel. We didn’t get to check out the restaurant, but it looked great and we’re hoping to try it during our next stay!
