This small pub is a hidden gem! They serve delicious homemade pub food with generous portions. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which is a refreshing change from many busy pubs nearby. We stopped off the motorway looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled upon this pub that advertised serving good food. We were seated and the waitress mentioned she would bring us the menu. However, she returned 5 minutes later to inform us that the kitchen had unexpectedly closed. Given the circumstances, it seems they could have made an exception for us.
