Fantastic little bakery offering a nice selection of breads and various other baked goods both sweet and savoury. Excellent quality food and friendly proficient service. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Bread Nerds:
We tracked the bakery because we bought her bread on Fyshwick Markets and it was very nice. The cake and coffee was okay, but when we came home, the bread was really rocky. At the next visit at 9 a.m. there was no fresh bread, cannot work out where fresh bread is sold daily. View all feedback.

Appalling service. Great food. I had a chicken pie today - best ever. Coffee is just ok. Bacon and egg rolls are great. Good seating inside and out.

We tracked down this little cafe in Hume just to buy the delicious bread. Had coffee on site (tables inside and outside) although the cafe is in an industrial area so most people are popping in. Also tasted an Italian doughnut, which was delicious. Two coffees plus the large doughnut around $11.Two loaves of sourdough in hand ($5.80 a loaf) we left. They sell a range of pies and sausage rolls and sandwiches and yummy looking cakes.

On a day just after I had finished work for the year, I stopped at Bread Nerds in the industrial suburb of Hume for a coffee and an almond croissant—their custard filled almond croissants are awesome. I settled on a long black coffee and an orange and slivered almond cake because it looked so tasty. I went outside to sit under an umbrella provided by the café and looked across the driveway to a concrete slab being poured for a new industrial sized shed. For some reason, maybe because I had finished for the year, the coffee provided a caffeine hit in the morning, the temperature was pleasant, the staff member was friendly and smiled and the cake was yummy, I felt totally relaxed and calm. That’s pretty good for a café situated in the midst of an industrial suburb.
