Rookies - Humboldt

What a cool place to busy. We were there at lunch time,busy,and very friendly staff. Lunch was great,quick and fair price. One place thar I will go back too.

Rookies prepared and delivered a team meal of lasagna, chicken fingers and garlic toast to our hotel. Not everyone had returned from our game when the food was delivered so they left us the warming cases to ensure that it would be still be hot when we served it. A delicious meal with excellent service - enjoyed by all ages.

Be cautious when ordering a salad at this restaurant. I specifically requested a lettuce salad with grilled chicken, but the waitress insisted on giving me a chef salad instead. When I pointed out the mistake, she was quite rude. The salad I received was lacking in vegetables, with only lettuce and a small container of salsa instead of dressing. The service was not up to par, as I was not offered a second drink. Overall, I was not impressed with the experience.

I have never written a review on a restaurant but I felt I should share our experience at Rookies. The food was fine but I was very disappointed at the extra charges relating to the kids meals. We ordered two kids meals, which were supposed to come with a drink and a cookie. We weren't given the cookies then when we got the bill we realised we had been charged for the kids' drinks. Although the special drink they ordered was listed on the kids meals page, apparently only pop is included for free. We were also charged almost $3 extra on the $6 kids spaghetti meal because we took the option of it being baked (no mention was made of the extra fee when this option was given). All in all, this was a very disappointing dining experience for us and we won't be back.

Here with a team sport tourney. It was called ahead and we had a banquet room booked and they served us all with in a reasonable time.
