I arrived and was seated at 8:00 PM. The waitress was friendly and promptly took my order for the Grand Beef Nacho plate, even though she was busy managing both the bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was quite lengthy. When the nachos finally arrived, they were overcooked, and the beef had an unpleasant flavor. The three minuscule pieces of tomato were almost amusing, and there was an unappealing pool of grease under the nachos. I doubt I'll return unless I have no other options.
The menu at this hotel restaurant includes traditional American cuisine. We tried the Cobb Salads, which are easy to make, yet the greens were fresh and the avocado was perfectly ripe. Our server was a pleasant young man who seemed to still be in training, but he did quite well. Unfortunately, when we arrived shortly after the restaurant opened for dinner, the bar was closed because the manager had not yet arrived with the keys. Overall, the experience was just average for a traveler; it's not a place you'd opt to eat at if you weren't staying at the hotel.
This cozy restaurant is situated within the Ramada East in Houston. We had to wait around an hour for a table, and it closes at 11 PM. Once we were seated, the food was quite enjoyable. We tried the Texas burger, which was delicious, and the jumbo wings, which were equally tasty.
