If you're craving a good meal but don't want to cook, I highly recommend giving Maya a try.
We recently visited Maya for the first time and were warmly greeted by a waiter dressed in traditional Indian attire, which we found both charming and refreshing. The restaurant itself is spacious and beautifully decorated, though adding a bit more color could soften the ambiance. We enjoyed the house white and red wines, both excellent choices. The meal began with papadums served with three colorful and flavorful dips. For starters, we had lemongrass-scented Goan king prawns with cheese, and mustard and turmeric-scented salmon fish cakes—both bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose chicken coated with sumac chili, slow-cooked in a honey chili sauce, and Goan chicken vindaloo infused with Kashmiri chili. Side dishes included lemon and cashew nut rice and mint-scented keema naan. Between courses, a refreshing mango and raspberry sorbet was served. Our main dishes reminded us of authentic Goan flavors, and we shared our praises with the front-of-house staff and chef. The dessert menu was unlike any Indian sweet menu we’ve seen before, featuring many beautiful options. We selected the Chocolate Box with Mövenpick vanilla ice cream. Although the dessert presentation lacked dry ice as intended, the staff’s sincere apology and our laughter made it a memorable moment—and gave us a reason to return. We highly recommend Maya; it offers fine Indian dining that feels like a breath of fresh air. You definitely have to give Maya a try!
