Great sushi and they offer a wonderful special on Thursdays for all you can eat sushi, however the service on the day of the special is often very slow as they are quite full and you must wait quite a long time for your sushi. Last week Thursday I went for the 'all you can eat ' special for R150.00, it was absolutely incredible! The sushi was so fresh, beautifully presented with lovely portion sizes. I have been to various other restaurants with all you can eat sushi specials and they have always seemed to have shrunk down the portion sizes so I was really impressed with the Village Sushi at how they had kept their portion sizes. There was a 6 piece limit on Salmon Roses and Sashimi which I thought was appropriate (otherwise I probably would have eaten them out of all their stock! . Our waiter was brilliant, the restaurant was beautifully decorated, lighting a tad too, dim, though. Tried almost every dish, they were all exquisite, highly recommend them all. Unfortunately, they had run out of Tuna by the time we had got around to ordering it but that is understandable as sometimes there is a tuna shortage. Booking is essential for Thursday 's special (we had to wait two weeks to get a table The drinks prices are quite well priced compared to other restaurants offering a similar deal. Unfortunately, I didn 't manage to snap any photos because I was too busy stuffing my face with all of the delicious sushi!
Absolutely love village sushi. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the sushi is wonderful! Very good value for money, and always so so tasty, fresh and beautifully presented
Great sushi and they offer a wonderful special on Thursdays for all you can eat sushi, however the service on the day of the special is often very slow as they are quite full and you must wait quite a long time for your sushi. The deep fried rolls are AMAZING, of the best deep fried sushi rolls I have had in southern suburbs. The special is very well priced, besides this the restaurant can become quite pricey but the freshness and quality of the sushi is worth it. Staff are often friendly and accommodating when busy and the atmosphere is relaxed. The outside garden offers fresh air and an enjoyable view.
The all you can eat sushi on Thursday nights is great value for money and the fish is always fresh and delicious. It can take a while though, so make sure you have time, and definitely phone ahead to book a table. It's always full.
My favourite sushi place at the moment. Sushi is always fresh and good options, just keep it simple. Chefs platter of 60 pieces always a winner for us. Heard the Thursday special is bit of a let down because they over rice the usual sushi, but still worth the price. And do try the spring rolls.
