Was Gordon Duer at Copper Dock a mag?
I had a lovely dinner on Friday evening. We waited about 40 minutes for a table, which is quite reasonable considering the quality of the dining experience. The view of the lake and the setting sun created a perfect ambiance for a relaxing meal. Our group enjoyed the seafood casserole, NY Strip, and fish fry, all of which were delicious. If you haven't had the chance to try the clam chowder, I highly recommend it—it... View all feedback.
What Gordon Duer dislikes about Copper Dock:
I ordered the 20 oz ribeye steak, which was supposed to come with mushroom sauce underneath, but I requested it on the side instead. Unfortunately, the steak lacked seasoning and was quite tough. The mushroom sauce, however, was very flavorful. Additionally, the beans still had stems on them. When I mentioned this to the owner, he explained that the stems were left on so customers would know they were fresh. It seeme... View all feedback.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! Waited 30 minutes for our old fashion 's, they forgot to to put the bourbon in my husband 's drink. His second drink they forgot to put the soda in the drink. When I mentioned to the waitresses about the lengthof time to get our drinks she stated everyone comes in at the same time not one apology. When I asked for help from thehostess to fix the old fashion missing the soda she said hard to find good help . A different waitresses brought our appetizersand when I asked her to fix the drink she said she couldn 't do it and our waitress will have to take care of that . Staffunder 1 star! Food- when ordering a 20 ounce ribeye medium rare you should not see solid purple. The butter blend they put ontop of the steak tasted like straight up liquid smoke and ruined the steak, which was actually tough. The prime rib wasn 't evenwarm and the twice baked potatoes came from a box. Food-under 1 star We traveled from Lake Geneva WI for my birthday dinner andvery disappointed and do not recommend. No owner or hostess went around the room asking people how their meals were, no friendlysmiles from employees. As we went out the door to leave and I 'm trying to hold the railing (it 's broken and moving) I turn to myhusband and was going to use his arm, a lady coming up the other way trips and falls to the ground. Overall bad experience, donot waste your money.
Absolutely awesome staff, super accommodating for us. Hopped off our bikes and came in with no reservation and they still helped us in a timely manner. Some of the best food I?ve ever had in my life. In disbelief as to how good the the steak was.
I happened to come across this place on a Wed evening while going to a different restaurant. I called and they were able to get us 2 in within 45 min. The location is very nice near the lake with dining facing west. Large windows allowed a beautiful viewof the sunset. They also have a large outside dining deck. Ordered the haystack onion rings as an appetizer. It was ok. Alsoordered chicken cordon bleu and a rack of bbq ribs. Soup or salad came with so chose the spinach salad which was tasty. Alsoserved with the salad was a hot bread bun. This was very good. The cordon bleu was made well with the sauce. It was filling andwell made. The ribs were very tender, excellent tasting sauce. I did order a Arnold Palmer drink with a refill. Found out thesewere 3 dollars each. All in all it was great atmosphere and dining location, however I feel like the price is a little higherthan it should be. It may seem trivial but basic drinks should not be more than $1.50 and free refills, especially when they arepacked with ice. Expect to pay after tip) about $50 a person. I may go back if I am in the area.
Enjoyed a Friday evening dinner. Waited about 40minutes for a table, which is reasonable for a nice dinning experience. Our view of the lake and setting sun set the mood for a relaxing dinner. Seafood casserole, NY Strip and Fish fry were all enjoyedby our group. If you haven't tried the Clam Chowder, it was most delightful.
The food was very good. The wait staff was a good. The view was good. The restaurant needs serious attention. It is easy to have a restaurant It is very hard to have a great restaurant. Copper dock has the food part of the equation down. What ismissing is the general upkeep of the restaurant. The restaurant is clean but it needs a fresh coat of paint and new carpet onthe inside. It has great views of the lake but poor shades for the afternoon sun. When the linen is changed you can see the oldplastic table protectors that are rotting away with age. The restaurant is always full but with a mostly older clientele. Irecommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. The restaurant is a 3 to 4 on a scale of 5.

The perch on Friday was soggy and seemed to be reheated. The drinks were enjoyable, but the service was extremely rushed and unkind.
I initially thought the rude bartender was just having a bad day when he shouted profanities at me, but it turns out he was the owner. My heart goes out to his employees and anyone else who decides to dine at this terrible restaurant.

We had a reservation at 5:30. The lights were so dim that it was hard to see the menus. Every table was full and it was so loud the entire meal that my ears are still ringing. Not a good ambience if you want to talk to your spouse. We asked for ranch upon ordering the appetizer and it arrived 20 minutes after the appetizer was delivered. The house salad was very good with the lemon vinaigrette as well as the dinner rolls. The prime rib was a very decent portion and also very good. The lobster ravioli and asparagus was good but the shrimp on top still tasted frozen/rubbery without flavor. Not worth the $47. Would I go back, prob not unless I wanted to yell at anyone at my table. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
A small group of 6 visited with no reservations. We were seated promptly with no fuss. Our reason for dinner was to celebrate our 44th anniversary on Halloween. A note on the atmosphere. Just before we arrived the power was lost. You can't make this up. With extra candles on the tables and cell phone flash lights a cozy atmosphere was achieved. The staff was very friendly, gracious and professional working through the challenges. Thanks for making my anniversary dinner memorable. Was given a wrong steak entrée I didn't order. I did not like and did not eat what I was wrongly given. They offered to replace it but it was like a 30 minute wait for a new steak, so I opted to ask them to comp the steak. Waitress got defensive, rude, and blamed me, but did end up comping the wrong entrée. The correctly ordered menu items were delicious so it's honestly a shame. The haystack onions were a great deal and delicious, the french onion soup was sublime. My wife's duck entree was well cooked and the berry sauce was a nice pairing. 3/5 stars we will not go back. Have gone to the Copper Dock many times. Each time the staff, the food and the atmosphere has been great. We mostly go on Wednesdays for the Crab Legs. Outstanding mushroom risotto!! Typically go with 2-6 people. We travel about 30 minutes to get there. Had made reservations once, were going to be late. Called restaurant to let them know and they gladly held our table for us. Never felt rushed or ignored. I would highly recommend this place. 1 to the Copper Dock for a birthday the find out it's by reservation only but I was looking through the restaurant at the check-in desk there were...
I'm not certain if there's been a change in management, but we visited yesterday and while the service was acceptable, the food was disappointing. I've never encountered such a watery, cream-based dish...
Lovely place on Lake Friess. Food was really good. Ate on the deck where they have music.

We had a reservation for 7 on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. They took our drink and appetizer order right away and they were served promptly. Dinner was excellent. I love French onion soup and there's was served with baked cheese over the top, very good. Our steaks we're cooked as requested and were very good cuts. The seafood casserole got high praise. Dessert looked delicious, but after the generous portions, no one has room left. I really couldn't find anything to complain about. We will go back.
Have eaten at the Copper Dock on Holidays numerous times. Last year for Easter they had a incredible variety of meats and fish, and it was all excellent. This year for Easter we had a noon reservation and there was a lot less variety of meats and fish. They had more variety of breakfast foods and not enough variety of dinner items. The eggs were watery. Overall, this would be the first time since going there that I have been disappointed.
Classic supper club experience with a waterfront atmosphere! Great food, great service, excellent salad bar!
Visited on a Saturday evening and sat in the main dining area with a stunning view of the lake. Service was friendly and attentive. The prime rib was unbelievably huge (18-20 oz) and full of flavor. All four of us enjoyed a fantastic desert to cap things off. We'll definitely add this to our regular rotation and can't wait to try the outdoor seating this summer!

The atmosphere was a little loud, but it was a Saturday night. We could still hear each other. Dietary restrictions: Was impressed the fact that they had gluten-free desserts.
Great place on a little lake. I had the Macadamia Crusted Grouper and was quite pleased, huge piece of fish, well prepared. My wife had the Lobster Ravioli and was happy with it too. We will be back. Very efficient and attentive staff also.
The service sucked. Worst in a long time. The bartender seemed annoyed I asked for an app while we waited an hour for a table (understandable for a Friday . But after being sat at 7pm we watched every table around us get served, eat and leave while we waited for over an hour and 15 minutes. Our waitress Nikki would just disappear and never check on us. Finally had to approach the hostess to which we were told we ordered an odd combination of food (the 12oz filet, a hamburger and 2 apps?!?! . When finally served Nikki asked if we needed anything. Water please! She responded they were down a bus person so she’s “sure we understood?!?!” Never an apology. Just more smart remarks. Other wait staff was more attentive. Ruined a good meal.
We enjoyed a brunch here for a special birthday. The selection was varied, the view was wonderful. Pricing was fair and our server Marissa, was attentive.
On July 10 my party of 3 had dinner. The hostess/owner greeted us like family and our reservation was immediately seated even though it quite busy.. The AC was working which made one of m,y party uncomfortable. A sweater was offered but then our table was moved next to the window where it was warmer. Grace our server was beyond great and the food superb. We had 2 appetizers,5 drinks and 3 different menus. But is was hard to have a conversation. Will be back. Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp

I had a wonderful first experience at The Copper Dock for a memorable birthday dinner with my boyfriend. The martinis were delectable, and the bar's atmosphere was inviting and cozy, featuring stunning views of the lake.
I absolutely love the charming interior of The Copper Dock. The recent updates have created a cozy, rustic atmosphere, featuring a fantastic bar and several fireplaces. We started our meal with the delicious onion...

I had a fantastic time at the copper dock great service, atmosphere and food super
Heather, Tim, Pat Staff are always attentive and friendly. We have been sitting there since 2009, hosting our children first dates, many families come together and corporate events too. Stop and you'll be happy!
My husband, my son and I have all decided to enjoy a beautiful Sunday dinner at The Copper Dock after a year, not really eating. From the moment we went, we felt very welcome, almost like family. The hostess (owners perhaps? said that we had just arrived in time to see the deer past. Our family, the great nature lovers were thrilled to see 10 deer walking across the lake, it was absolutely beautiful. Because of Covid, our waitress wore a mask, but she had the ability to smile with her eyes so that we feel very welcome. I wonder if she's in a mirror. The food was spectacular. Husband had the main rib, he said it was perfect and very tasteful. I had the chicken salad. I asked the waitress (if I could remember her name if they could add Jalapeños to it and was said they probably wouldn't have them, but they would ask the cook. You don't know my salad came with Jalapeños. It would not surprise me if the waitress or cook came in their car and ran into the next grocery store to pick up some. The busboy was so attentive, our water never came under half the brand on our girls I know this rating can be a bit long, but I can't say enough good things about staff and food. This restaurant is a must if you are in the area or even if you are not. I know we'll go more often. See you soon.
It's hard to get a table. Reservations are a good idea. The food was delicious. Will be back
