Description

Tiny Boxwoods on Alabama offers counter service and no reservations, but the birthday staff went early to secure a table for a party. The location is cozy, with helpful golf cart attendants shuttling guests to the adjacent milk and cookies spot. Service was decent, though some felt the staff could be more attentive due to the restaurant setup. The sweet potato fries and paloma drink were highlights, but the turkey bacon pesto sandwich fell short. Despite this, the manager offered a replacement, though removing it from the bill would have been appreciated. Tom George Restaurant faced scheduling mishaps and closures, leading to disappointment, while LA Chapter at Ace Hotel provided a better dining experience. Reviews of the food at Tiny Boxwoods were mixed, spotlighting delicious items like truffle fries and cocktail, but with room for improvements such as the shrimp starter and dry pizza. Positive experiences at the restaurant were also shared, with praise for the bartenders, ambience, gluten-free pizza, and overall dining experience. The outdoor garden seating at Tiny Boxwoods was especially appreciated, contributing to a lovely environment for meals and socializing.

My wife and I have been dining at Tinys for years. It has become a Houston institution and its always fantastic.

Blood orange cocktail and beet, pear and burrata salad were fantastic. Normally love the lamb burger this time it was over cooked and dry. Cheesecake was out of this world. Service was friendly, helpful and allowed you to enjoy the meal and conversation.

I had dinner on Tiny B. Last Saturday Oct 20, 20 8. I initially sat at the bar. The barman (skinny Hispanic guy brown on skin color) was rude and confrontational with me. He asked me “are you ok???” in a confrontational tone in front of all the people seated at the bar. Definitely embarrassing for a place like Tiny, which I believe is a decent place. My wife said he was looking at her too much and she felt uncomfortable. He was later serving wine from the bottle I purchased even when I told him not to do so. Pretty disappointing experience.

We have dined here several times and it has always been excellent. Introduced it to our friends on this visit and they will be back too!

I have been to Tiny Carton Wood several times before and always enjoy bringing friends and family to experience it for the first time. This time, I brought my partner and he loved everything about it. It was quite busy and we had to wait in line to order, which is not something I am used to, but once we placed our order we were able to sit outside as we preferred. The food was delicious, although I was surprised to find out that my breakfast was a breakfast taco, as I am not a fan of corn tortillas. Overall, it was a great experience as always. And don't even get me started on those tiny cookies - they are to die for!
