The Brisket House - Houston

Stopped by for our last meal in Houston and was disappointed with the results. No line so we got our order within 10 minutes. Meals came with choice of meat(s), slice of bread and two sides. Meats can also be purchased by the pound. Beef brisket no fat and pretty dry even with the added sauce. Considering the price it should be spot on. Pulled pork same disappointment as the brisket. Pork ribs meat feel off the bone and had a great smoky taste. Sausage was spicy and our favorite meat. Mac N Cheese was very cheesy so met our expectations. Potato salad side also was good with good balance of mayo and mustard. Baked beans were sweet and tangy and could’ve eaten a lot more. Unfortunately the sides were better than most of the meats so will only give this place an average rating.

The brisket was good and tender. My kids enjoyed it and I really enjoyed the brisket baked potato.

The food is delicious and fresh. The potato salad was particularly tasty. The prices are reasonable, and the peach bowl was also impressive. If I'm looking to treat myself, this is definitely my go-to spot.

The brisket here is incredibly tasty! Everything else on the menu is fantastic too! I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly staff.

The potato salad, mac and cheese, chicken, and brisket were all outstanding, with the brisket being the absolute highlight of our meal. The baby back ribs were tender and literally fell off the bone, but they had a bit too much pepper for my taste. One downside was the presence of many small gnats buzzing around; they really need to address the pest issue.
