Hidden gem in Spring Branch, Houston Tx. They have authentic Mexican food and the coffee is sooooooo yummy. It 's called café de olla , not sure how it 's made but it has a hint of cinnamon and sugar. No need for milk, creamer or sugar... Enjoy! Oh, and they also have a kid friendly menu. What User doesn't like about Tamales Dona Tere Llc:
good place to eat typical tamales or quesadillas good prices I think some of the comments that are here are not fair ,highly recommend them especially jalapeños and cheese View all feedback.
The owner justifies serving tamales with mostly masa and little meat by claiming they are "Mexico City style tamales." In Mexico City, this style is common to save costs and increase sales, not because it is preferred by customers. This restaurant should adhere to Texas standards for tamales.
The breakfast was delicious and the Rajas con Queso tamales were beautifully made.
This is a great place to enjoy traditional tamales or quesadillas at affordable prices. I believe that some of the negative reviews are unwarranted. I highly recommend trying their jalapeño and cheese options.
Avoid this restaurant, the tamales are cold and the restaurant is dirty. Do not waste your money here!

The café de olla is a must-try, with a unique blend of cinnamon and sugar that requires no additional creamer or sugar. And to top it off, they also offer a kid-friendly menu. Enjoy!
